Episode 18: Jennifer Grouling In this episode, Jennifer Grouling talks about classroom writing assessment practices and values, AAC&U VALUE rubrics, the advantages and disadvantages of using technology to respond to student writing, and she shares strategies for new writing teachers. Jennifer Grouling is an Associate Professor and Director of the Writing Program at Ball State University. She studies writing assessment, teacher preparation, and other aspects of WPA life. Her current project examines the writing assessment and the influence of the AAC&U VALUE rubric for Written Communication at two small colleges. She also writes about tabletop role-playing games, including the book The Creation of Narrative in Tabletop Role-Playing Games and an upcoming edited collection about technology and role-playing.
